Welcome to Slawik World
My name is Don Slawik, and I have been a teacher here at St. Viator for the past 23 years. The main reason for my longevity is the friendly, family-like atmosphere of the school. It truly is a home away from home. I see the students as my children and the faculty and staff as my brothers and sisters. My current duties at the school include being in charge of the 8th homeroom, and teaching 8th religion, language arts, and 5th-8th social studies. I was born and raised on the Northwest Side of Chicago. I am a die hard Cubs fan. I also love the Blackhawks and the Bears. My favorite foods are any style of pizza, big juicy burgers, and Chicago style hot dogs. I love music, movies, TV, travel, and photography. I am an animal lover. I have a sweet dog named Augie and one evil and angry black cat named Onyx. Over the years, I have also cared for gerbils, fish, birds, and even two rats named Thelma and Louise. In the future I will stick exclusively to dogs. I am married to great woman and have one daughter. Enough about me. Come inside and see what's up in the upper grades at St. Viator. |
